Module 1 · Getting started

  1. Welcome & what you will build. A tour of the finished CRM and how the lessons fit together.
  2. Setting up your tools. Installing Node.js, a code editor and Claude, and creating your first project.
  3. Working with Claude like a developer. Describing what you want, reviewing what Claude writes, and keeping a project on track.

Module 2 · Planning a custom build

  1. Discovery: learning how a business works. The questions to ask so the software fits a real process.
  2. Designing the data. Turning spreadsheets and paperwork into tables, fields and relationships.

Module 3 · Building the CRM

  1. The server and database. An Express API on Postgres with safe, parameterized queries.
  2. Logins and permissions. Password hashing, sessions and roles done properly.
  3. Screens people enjoy using. Lead lists, filters, detail pages and a dashboard.
  4. Importing existing data. Reading Excel and CSV files and mapping columns automatically.

Module 4 · Going live

  1. Taking payments. Connecting a payment processor for one-off and monthly billing.
  2. Deploying to the web. Hosting with a database, backups and a custom domain.
  3. Pricing and selling custom software. Packaging your work into offers clients understand.
